Ed Tech Tips: Flipgrid
Ed Tech Tips - Flipgrid
Another #TechTipTuesday post.
What is Flipgrid? Flipgrid is a free video discussion platform from Microsoft that emphasizes social learning and empowers student voice. The platform is organized by grids (think classes or professional learning communities) and topics (think specific prompts to respond to). You can include resources and attachments along with instructions for responding to topics. You can set the time limit for responses from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. Teachers can also use Flipgrid as a screencasting tool. The great thing about Flipgrid is that it can be used on any smartphone or a web browser.
There are tons of potential applications for Flipgrid including but not limited to: class introductions, content check-ins, review and reflection videos, Public Service Announcements, speech practice, exit tickets, and robust discussion boards.
